Our mission is to preserve the worldwide unique history of hotels in Switzerland and to protect these valuable properties from speculation.
Thanks to donations and grants, we have been helping to preserve and document the architectural and historical significance of Swiss Historic Hotels since 2014. Our association operates on a non-profit basis and is tax-exempt.
We provide financial support:
- Building assessments with a view to restoration
- Restoration work on historical buildings (facades, walls, floors, ceilings, paintings, etc.) or on historic interior decoration (furniture, light fixtures, art work, etc.)
- Documentation of the work in the areas mentioned
- Creation of brochures, books and documentation (photos, films, etc.) on the history of the company (excluded are brochures and films for purely advertising purposes)
- Creating, maintaining or supplementing the in-house archive
